Hey Dave, it looks like you’re using a high-vis yellow braid there for your jigs. Just wondering, are you tying direct to the jig with the braid, or using a mono/fluoro leader?

@PK9375 honest….. its harder to move a bait next to the boat with a very long rod…. but the shorter the cast … the more leverage u will have the more ull set the hook…. i go longest rod when im fishing short distance….. …..ice fishing is the easyest hook set….. why? cause your pulling straight up…… u pull up in the top of the mouth…. not towards the lips…..

  14. PK9375

@justfishingjustin I like to use a shorter pole in that tight to a bank for better hook set. Not looking for much action out of the lure. Just a reaction strike with a lil tap tap !!!

THATS HOW YOU GET A LUNKER….JIGGIN’

@TheVicFishing its not a ook set issues… he sets the hook when he feels something….. its what gets him somany fish in the boat…… but he should adjust his rig when fish are bitting short…trailer hook ..bigger smalled.. a second one

  20. TheVicFishing

I realised that over his videos that Dave has hookset issues, he should work on that
